A few weeks back, Instagram showed me one of the cutest dolls I’ve seen in quite some time, Dolly Mori’s Mori Lolli doll. Under the direction of two young designers from Ruby Red Galleria, Mori Lolli “draws inspiration from animation, cartoons, and comics” and “craft dolls brimming with fantasy”. Mori Lolli is the team’s first creation, with more teased on their about us page. The line“embodies charm and uniqueness, exuding a profound affection for nature alongside a penchant for all things cute and elegant.”

Mori Lolli dolls are 28 cm tall, strung and made of vinyl. They’re soft to the touch, not hard like a resin or ABS doll. Articulation is slightly limited, as they don’t have wrist, ankle or chest joints. However, they do have the ability to bend at the shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Mori Lolli dolls are slightly head heavy, so it can be complicated posing them for photos. They do sell a stand, which you can buy separately on their website. Also worth noting is that I found my doll to have one leg that is tighter than the other, which happens with strung dolls like this.
Similar to Asian ball jointed dolls, Mori Lolli are very easy to customize. You can change the dolls look easily by swapping out their wig and removing their headcap to adjust or remove their eyes.
Ruby Red Galleria is known for quality, especially when it comes to clothing on their dolls. Mori Lolli dolls are no exception. On Strawberry Feilds, the doll I purchased, the outfit is exquisitely made. Her shoes are also well made, though they do tend to fall off due to being a bit too large for my doll. And the wig quality is excellent. So soft to the touch and not straw-like. Honestly speaking, I prefer the quality of this more affordable Mori Lolli doll to the stock wig my more expensive Smart Doll came with.
My absolute favorite thing about Mori Lolli dolls, though, is their face. Their round features make this doll irresistibly cute. Mori Lolli’s circular eyes are a standout in any color and look good glancing in any direction. Her face sculpt is just adorable.
There are currently three Mori Lolli dolls out: Strawberry Fields, Night Bloom and Fairytale Adventures Alice. Each doll has their own unique vibe and vinyl color. With Night Bloom’s gothic appeal, Alice’s classic fairytale look and Strawberry Fields sweetness. It’s hard to pick a favorite! Besides these three dolls, you can also buy outfits and other accessories. Dolly Mori recently teased that new things are coming, as well.
While these dolls aren’t even a year old, they already have quite a following on social media in the official fan group for the line and on instagram, DollyMoriDoll. I’m a huge fan already and I’ve only had my doll a week. Speaking of which, expect a closer look at Strawberry Fields to be posted here on the blog soon. And don’t forget to use this link to save $5.00 and let them know we sent you!
