Calling all Smart Doll fans! Jane Easterly, creator and showrunner of the popular Pullip and Dal Doll Lovers Event, is taking on Smart Doll with her next informal gathering, the Smart Doll Summit. Smart Doll has been quite popular at the past few PUDDLE events, so I’m not surprised Jane is hosting a special Smart Doll celebration. Here are the details!
The Smart Doll Summit is being billed as an informal gathering, more like the early years of the Pullip and Dal Doll Lovers Event. Here’s the blurb from the Facebook event.
“Bring your dolls, your buy/sell/trade items, gifts for other attendees, or just yourself. All dolls welcome. Drop in or stay all day. A suggested donation of $5 to $10 at the door is requested to pay for the event space. Guest rooms have been set aside by the hotel at an event rate for Saturday and Sunday. Code is SDO. The Smart Doll Summit is a fan-based meet-up that is not an official event of Danny Choo, Culture Japan, Mirai Inc, or any other corporate entity. The event is funded by its attendees.”
The Smart Doll Summit will be held August 30, 2026 from 9AM-4PM at the Holiday Inn Chicago-O’Hare Rosemont in Rosemont, IL. If you are attending, share that in the Facebook event so Jane can coordinate the space properly.
